Here’s what some UCLA students say about the place:
I think this college is absolutely amazing in almost every aspect. As someone who is heavily considered a "homebody," there are so many wonderful people on campus who encourage you to experience the places around the college such as Westwood or Santa Monica. The campus itself is diverse and friendly.
Beautiful, well-maintained campus, high standards for both faculty and students, mind-boggling array of student organizations, plenty of free events for students. However, while the administration is largely friendly to minorities, they don''t do much to address issues of bigotry and harassment on campus.
I''ve really enjoyed my time so far at UCLA. I love the area in Southern California. It''s in a great location with great people all around. The food in the Sawtelle and Downtown LA area is great. Museums and sights are available to go and see. The weather is almost always great, about 65 degrees or higher every day.
My experience with University of California, Los Angeles was really great. I had such a great time there being in the heart of one of the largest cities in the world. I could tell that I was getting a good education while also being presented with opportunities to further advance my career.
Overall UCLA is a great school with many great opportunities. The only downfall of the school is inconsistency of some professors. While they are great at research, they might not be the best professors. However, I found that UCLA is what you make of it.
